Occupational Therapist – Adults Social Care
Location: Hybrid Working
Rate: £34.34 per hour
Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: Ongoing

Pertemps is currently recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join an Adults Social Care team, working on a hybrid basis.

Role Overview:
You will be responsible for carrying out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments within the community for adults with permanent, complex, or substantial disabilities. The focus of the role is to promote independence, wellbeing, and prevention, ensuring that interventions reduce or prevent the need for ongoing or long-term services wherever possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake holistic, strengths-based assessments in community settings
  • Develop and implement intervention plans that maximise independence and functional ability
  • Recommend equipment, adaptations, and reablement-focused solutions to support individuals to remain safely at home
  • Work proactively to prevent, reduce, or delay the need for ongoing statutory services
  • Collaborate closely with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary professionals
  • Complete clear, timely, and accurate case recording in line with statutory requirements
Requirements:
  • Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working within Adults Social Care and community settings
  • Strong understanding of prevention, reablement, and strengths-based practice
