Occupational Therapist – Adult Social Care 
Contract Length: 6 months
Hours: 36.2 hours per week
Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Role Overview Pertemps are recruiting experienced Occupational Therapists to work within Adult Social Care in Calderdale. The role focuses on reviewing care packages, applying manual handling expertise, and implementing single-handed care where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing care packages to promote independence and safe practice
• Use specialist manual handling skills to reduce care needs where possible
• Implement single-handed care plans when appropriate
• Work in line with the Care Act 2014 and relevant policy guidance
• Contribute to community-based adult therapy services

Essential Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Full UK driving licence
• Significant knowledge of the Care Act (2014) and community care legislation
• Experience working within an adult therapy setting
• Strong understanding of best practice in adult social care
