Fire & Security Estimator – Loughton - £45,000

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Estimator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a variety of projects, producing accurate quotations, and supporting tenders from initial enquiry through to handover.



The Role

As a Fire & Security Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates and quotations across fire and security projects. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure pricing is accurate, compliant, and commercially competitive.



Salary Package:
  • £40,000 - £45,000
  • Hybrid Working

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for fire and security projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, tender documents, and site information
  • Interpret client requirements and ensure quotations meet relevant standards and compliance
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance
  • Support tender submissions and contribute to successful bid outcomes
  • Ensure smooth handover of awarded projects to operations/delivery teams, with clear scope and documentation
  • Maintain and update pricing schedules, supplier quotes, and project documentation


What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience estimating within fire and/or security systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of fire/security products and industry standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach to clients and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple quotations/tenders


Desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience with large-scale tenders and frameworks
  • Familiarity with British Standards / compliance requirements (e.g., fire detection, CCTV, access control, intruder)
  • Experience using estimating/quotation software and Excel
