About the Role

Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council on a temporary basis at St John’s The Baptist School.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within an educational environment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming space for pupils, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Do

• Clean classrooms, toilets, corridors, and communal areas to a high standard.
• Wipe down desks, furniture, and touchpoints to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors as required.
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal in line with school procedures.
• Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed.
• Work independently and efficiently within the allocated hours.
• Follow all health & safety and safeguarding guidelines at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous cleaning experience in a school or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Friendly and professional approach with respect for confidentiality and school policies.
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations.

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Criminal Convictions Declaration.
• Two recent employment references.
