Planning HWB Officer – Business Support
Location: Carmarthenshire, West Wales
Contract: 2nd June 2025 – 31st August 2025 (Initial 3 Months, Potential Extension)
Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (4:30 PM on Fridays)

What You’ll Do:
Act as the customer’s advocate, managing a caseload of public, member, and senior management enquiries with courtesy and efficiency.
Provide prompt, accurate advice on a range of services, including complaints, councillor enquiries, and online form assistance, resolving issues at the first point of contact.
Utilize Council IT systems and Microsoft 365 to process enquiries, update web content, and maintain accurate, confidential records.
Make daily decisions on service eligibility within guidelines, ensuring compliance with financial and administrative procedures.
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction and support the department with administrative tasks.

What We’re Looking For:
Skills: Strong bilingual communication (English/Welsh preferred—training provided if needed), competent in Microsoft 365, and experienced with customer-facing IT systems.
Qualities: Reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work independently or as part of a team, with a commitment to customer care.
Experience: Proven experience in direct customer contact (face-to-face or telephone) and working to tight deadlines.
Requirements: Educated to GCSE standard; ability to work full-time in the office during training, then 2–3 days/week; eligibility to work in the UK.
Bonus Points: Customer service training or experience in a demanding environment; Welsh language fluency.
