Are you looking for an active, outdoor role where you can contribute to a cleaner, greener community? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking six enthusiastic Recycling & Waste Operatives to join a dedicated team in Torfaen, supporting essential recycling and waste collection services.
Job Details:
  • Position: Recycling & Waste Operative – Building Services & Maintenance
  • Location: Panteg Way, New Inn, Pontypool, Torfaen, NP4 0LS
  • Employment Type: Temporary (12 weeks)
  • Start Date: 23 June 2025
  • Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)
  • Rate: PAYE: £12.59 per hour | Umbrella: £15.80 per hour
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in keeping Torfaen clean and sustainable. As a Recycling & Waste Operative, you will work outdoors, collecting recycling and waste from bins and other containers, ensuring efficient and safe operations. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect recycling and waste from bins and containers across Torfaen
  • Ensure collections are carried out safely and efficiently
  • Follow health and safety guidelines, including mandatory use of PPE
  • Work as part of a team to maintain high service standards
  • Report any issues or concerns to supervisors
What We’re Looking For:
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Required Documents at Submission:
    • Criminal Convictions Declaration
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • 2 years of references/work history
  • A DBS check may be required for this role
