Job Details:
  • Position: Social Worker – Children’s Services (Social Care Qualified)
  • Location: Godfrey Road, Newport, South Wales, NP20 4UR
  • Employment Type: Temporary (12 weeks)
  • Start Date: 30 June 2025
  • Hours: 37 hours per week (full-time)
  • Rate: PAYE: £29.22 per hour | Umbrella: £38.55 per hour
  • Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days per week office-based)
About the Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed Children’s Services team, focusing on child protection. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting children and families, working collaboratively within a supportive team to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake assessments and manage child protection cases
  • Develop and implement care plans to support children and families
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
  • Attend meetings, reviews, and court proceedings as required
What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid Social Work England registration
  • Experience in child protection and children’s services
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Required Documents:

    • 5 years of references/work history
