Salary: PAYE: £29.30 per hour | Umbrella: £38.66 per hour

Network Recruitment Wales is seeking two qualified Social Workers to join the Children’s Services East Localities & Family and Friends Team for a 12-week temporary assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to provide crucial support during a period of increased demand, while working within a supportive and professional environment.What You’ll Do:
• Deliver high-quality assessments and care management to children and families in line with statutory requirements and assessed needs.• Develop and implement outcome-focused intervention plans with children, young people, and their carers to promote welfare and safeguard from harm.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and produce professional reports for Court or Panel meetings.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children.
• Demonstrate professional competence and engage with supervision, training, and service development initiatives.
• For Fostering Team positions: Recruit, train, assess, and support foster carers, contributing to recruitment and retention targets and supporting carers through statutory requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
• A qualified Social Worker with a Diploma/Degree in Social Work (or predecessor qualification).• Registration with Social Care Wales (or equivalent UK regulatory body).
• Up-to-date knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding protocols, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication, assessment, report-writing, and case management skills.
• Experience in multi-agency working, child protection, or care proceedings is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced service and manage a demanding caseload.
• A full UK Category B driving licence and business-use car insurance, with the ability to travel across the borough.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required.
Essential Requirements:
• Eligibility to work in the UK• Enhanced DBS check
• Criminal Convictions Declaration
• Social Care Wales Registration
• Full UK driving licence & business-use insurance
• Signed Confidentiality Agreement
• 5 years of references/work history
• Proof of qualifications (Social Work Degree desirable)
• Health Declaration/Questionnaire
