Contract role
We are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work in a Safeguarding Team in Haringey.
A safeguarding social worker is responsible for protecting vulnerable individuals from abuse and neglect, coordinating safeguarding inquiries, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
·         Professional Social Work Service: Provide a professional social work service, including statutory responsibilities related to safeguarding adults at risk of abuse or neglect.
·         Safeguarding Enquiries: Lead and coordinate multi-agency Section 42 safeguarding enquiries, ensuring a person-centred approach aligned with the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
·         Develop and Review Plans: Create and review safeguarding adult protection plans, ensuring they are tailored to the needs and wishes of the individuals involved.
·         Collaboration: Work closely with partner agencies, stakeholders, and other professionals to support positive outcomes and mitigate risks for vulnerable individuals.
·         Case Management: Effectively manage duty responsibilities and a caseload, keeping accurate records of work undertaken using social care electronic record systems.
·         Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to safeguarding concerns.
·         Continuous Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision to improve practice standards and personal competencies.
