Mail Sorter – Forklift Truck (FLT)

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Mail Sorter with FLT experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every piece of mail is accurately sorted, moved, and dispatched efficiently. Your work helps maintain the smooth flow of communication and parcels across the country.
Key Responsibilities

• Inspect forklifts before use and document checks using the FLT Pre-Check Sheet.
• Report any maintenance issues, defects, or malfunctions to your Line Manager immediately.
• Safely operate a forklift truck (counterbalance) to move materials, products, and equipment within the facility.
• Load and unload materials from trailers and transport them to storage areas or processing lines.
• Stack and organise products in designated areas to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including storage zones and loading docks.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate daily tasks and priorities.
• Report any safety incidents, accidents, or equipment damage immediately.

Skills & Experience

• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is required.
• Previous FLT driving and warehouse experience is desirable.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Shift Pattern

• AM, PM, and Night shifts
• Monday to Saturday
• Flexibility is essential to meet operational requirements in this 24-hour operation.
