The Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a secondary school in Telford from January 2026. This long-term assignment involves teaching English across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, assessing progress, and supporting pupils in preparation for GCSE examinations. The role offers continuity, stability, and the opportunity to make a real impact on student outcomes.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic English specialist who can inspire learners of all abilities. You should be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs welcome)
- Confident teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- Skilled in delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
- Strong in behaviour management and classroom organisation
- Committed to raising attainment and fostering a love of literature
