We’re working with a popular and well-established secondary school in Solihull to recruit a dynamic and knowledgeable Science Teacher for the new academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving Science department in a school that places strong emphasis on academic progress, pastoral support, and staff development.

- Job Type: Full-time, long-term supply (potential for permanent placement)
- Subject: General Science (KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience advantageous)

- Pay: £175 – £250 per day, based on experience and qualifications
The Role
You’ll be teaching across the Science curriculum to KS3 and KS4 students, delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that challenge and inspire. You’ll be expected to plan, mark, assess, and contribute to departmental improvement, supported by an experienced team and well-resourced labs. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to take on KS5 teaching or additional responsibilities.
The Candidate
We’re looking for a passionate Science specialist with a strong classroom presence and excellent subject knowledge. You should be confident in behaviour management and committed to helping all pupils succeed. This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong placement references.
Requirements:
- UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Strong references and a proactive, professional attitude
