Maintenance Assistant

Job Title: Maintenance Assistant
Pay Rate: £34,000 – 36,000
Location: Mark, Somerset
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm (includes 5 hours regular overtime)
Occasional additional overtime required for essential maintenance

We’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join an established company in Mark, Somerset. This is a hands-on, varied role working across planned and reactive maintenance on automated production lines, woodworking machinery, forklifts, fleet vehicles, and general property maintenance. If you’re a practical, multi-skilled individual who enjoys problem-solving and working in a team, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair automated production lines and woodworking equipment
• Carry out routine and emergency repairs on forklifts and fleet vehicles
• Support general property and site maintenance

 What We’re Looking For

• A team player with good communication skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Electrical experience would be an advantage and knowledge on pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience in maintaining manufacturing lines is a plus
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
