*** £85 - £98 per day
*** Secondary school location: Walsall
*** 1:1 support for a student with Autism
The Role:
As a Graduate Learning Mentor, you’ll provide dedicated one-to-one support for a student with Autism, helping them access learning and develop confidence in the classroom. You’ll work closely with teachers to implement personalised strategies, assist with lessons, and create a positive and structured environment that meets the student’s needs.
The Candidate:
You should hold a degree in any subject and have a calm, patient approach to working with young people. Strong communication skills and an understanding of Autism are important. Experience in supporting students with SEN, or working with children in any capacity, will be beneficial.
Requirements
- Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – A genuine interest in helping young people with additional needs succeed.
- Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as mentoring, tutoring, or SEN support is desirable but not essential.
