Job Description
Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? A well-resourced special school in Birmingham is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their experienced team and support students with Autism, communication difficulties, and associated learning needs.
This Teaching Assistant position involves working closely with pupils across Key Stages, providing both classroom-based support and 1-1 assistance. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, develop independence, and build confidence through consistent support and positive reinforcement. Job Role:
- Supporting students with Autism and complex learning needs in class and during activities
- Working closely with the class teacher to adapt and deliver learning tasks
- Using a range of communication strategies to engage and support students
- Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage progress and personal growth
- Assisting with personal care routines as required
