Job Description
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher looking to make a real difference? A fantastic primary special school in Birmingham is looking for a skilled Special Needs Teacher to join their team, supporting children with a range of complex needs including Autism, PMLD, and MLD.
This role is ideal for a Special Needs Teacher with experience in a specialist setting, or a mainstream primary teacher with a passion for inclusive education and a desire to work in a nurturing, supportive environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons that support pupils’ academic, emotional, and personal development. A calm and flexible approach, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to pupil well-being are essential.
Job Role:
- Teaching a class of primary-aged pupils with special educational needs
- Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Planning and delivering lessons based on EHCP targets and individual needs
- Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
- A warm and welcoming school community with a strong sense of purpose
- Opportunities for ongoing CPD and training in SEND best practice
- Support from an experienced and committed leadership team
- Excellent resources and a strong team of support staff
