Rate: £300–£350 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Interim

Duration: 3–6 months (possible extension)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2–3 days in office)
We are currently seeking an experienced SEND Casework Officer to support a busy Local Authority in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in line with statutory timescales
• Coordinate and lead Annual Reviews, EHCP assessments, and panel recommendations
• Liaise effectively with schools, families, professionals, and multi-agency partners
• Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014
• Provide clear, timely, and accurate written reports and updates
• Support tribunal and mediation processes where necessary

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a SEND Case Officer role within a Local Authority
• Strong understanding of EHCP processes, legislation, and statutory duties
• Excellent communication, organisational, and case management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Confident using case management systems and IT tools
