Job Title: SEND Key Worker

Rate: Competitive daily rate (depending on experience)

Duration: Initial 3–6 months (with potential for extension)
Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have experience navigating the SEND system and working closely with families and professionals? If so, we want to hear from you!
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Key Worker to join the Cheshire East Local Authority team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on the lives of children and young people with SEND and their families.
Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact for families and young people going through the EHCP process or receiving SEND support.
• Provide clear, accessible advice and information to families about services and processes.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families, schools, and multi-agency partners.
• Coordinate support and ensure effective communication across education, health, and social care services.
• Monitor and track progress of allocated cases to ensure timely and appropriate support.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar Key Worker or SEND Case Officer role.
• In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work sensitively with families and manage complex caseloads.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
