Job Description
As a Senior SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Developer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and enhancement of advanced SAC planning solutions and dashboards. These business-critical tools play a key role in enabling data-driven decisions for the wider business and senior leadership.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into effective SAC planning models and ensuring robust integration with SAP and non-SAP data sources. You will act as a subject matter expert within the SAC space, influencing enterprise-wide adoption and driving innovation across the BI landscape.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior SAP Analytics Cloud Developer
- Lead the end-to-end development and execution of SAP Analytics Cloud Planning solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Engage directly with business stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to define and deliver impactful planning and reporting solutions.
- Design and build advanced SAC planning models, data actions, value driver trees, and workflows that support financial and operational forecasting.
- Act as the main escalation point for SAC planning issues, ensuring timely resolution and a seamless user experience.
- Ensure effective data versioning and implement row-level security measures to meet data governance and compliance needs.
- Manage the SAC product backlog, prioritising and refining user stories to deliver high-quality functionality on time.
- Participate in technical architecture and solution design discussions within the BI and data engineering teams.
- Communicate complex SAC concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment.
- Deliver training sessions and documentation to empower business users and promote self-service reporting.
- Champion the use of SAP Analytics Cloud across the business, demonstrating its value and leading demos for key stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with SAP SAC product updates, industry trends, and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team and collaborate with other IT and digital workplace teams to support integration and operational excellence.

What you should bring to the role
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
- Extensive experience in implementing and configuring SAP Analytics Cloud Planning solutions.
- Deep understanding of financial planning, workforce planning, and driver-based planning methodologies.
- Proficiency in data modelling, scripting, and analytics within the SAC platform.
- Experience integrating SAC with SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and other enterprise data sources.
- Proven experience leading SAC initiatives in Agile project environments with successful delivery of business-critical solutions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior stakeholders, including presenting complex ideas to executive audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
Extra qualities that would be a great fit for our team:
- SAP Analytics Cloud certification or equivalent SAP planning credentials.
- Experience integrating SAC with S/4HANA systems.
- Experience of SAC to Datasphere integration and its integration capabilities.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or regulated industries.
- Experience mentoring or training users on BI tools and dashboards.
- Familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau in addition to SAC is a plus.
- Competitive salary up to £72,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service. (plus bank holidays)
