Sheridan Maine is delighted to be supporting a respected and expanding accountancy practice in Essex in the search for an Audit and Accounts Manager. Main tasks handled by an Audit and Accounts Manager:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Lead and review audit assignments and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of accounts, including limited companies, consolidated groups, and charities.
  • Support the Partner with elements of an existing client book.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Assist with practice management tasks such as workflow improvements, WIP monitoring, and process development.
Qualifications to succeed as an Audit and Accounts Manager:
  • ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical expertise within audit and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience managing a client portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and client management skills.
  • Confident working independently and capable of taking initiative in a managerial role.
