Audit Senior - Weston-super-Mare

Sheridan Maine is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Audit Senior to join a reputable firm based in Exeter. This role is ideal for someone with solid audit experience who is looking to advance their career by leading audit assignments, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members.

You will work on a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors, ensuring compliance and delivering high-quality audit work while contributing to continuous improvement within the team.

Key responsibilities as an Audit Senior:

• Leading audits from planning through to completion for a variety of clients.
• Managing junior audit staff, providing coaching and support.
• Preparing clear and concise audit reports and findings.
• Ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Assisting with year-end accounts preparation where required.
• Identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency.
  
   

The Successful Audit Senior Will Possess:

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified or equivalent with relevant audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines.
• Proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with audit software such as CaseWare or similar is desirable.
• 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
