JOB TITLE: Civil Litigation Lawyer                
PQE REQUIRED: 1+      
LOCATION: West Yorkshire                
SALARY: Up to £45,000 (DOE)

OVERVIEW:
• Report to the Contracts Team Leader
• Provide clear, accurate legal advice across a varied caseload, including: Consumer contract disputes, professional negligence matters and inheritance claims
• Proactively progress claims within agreed timescales
• Ensure compliance with clients’ legal expenses insurance policies
• Manage client expectations while ensuring fair treatment at all times
• Secure appropriate settlements and recover costs
• Maintain accurate time recording and system records
• Identify opportunities for personal development
• Support team progression and contribute to:
• Best practice improvements
• Product performance
• Overall client experience

THE CANDIDATE:
• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
• Ideally 3 years’ PQE
• Strong understanding of contract litigation
• Experience handling small claims and fast-track matters
• Experience in professional negligence and/or inheritance disputes is desirable
• Collaborative team player
• Comfortable working in a high-performing environment
