Court of Protection Solicitor

Court of Protection Solicitor, 3+ Years PQE, West Midlands, £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE) - Are you an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor ready to take the next step in your career? JOB REF: 9712.

THE ROLE:
• Manage and assist on a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters, including deputyship applications, statutory wills, and gifting.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients, including lay deputies and attorneys, and manage complex or contested COP cases such as deprivation of liberty claims.
• Liaise with IFAs and public bodies on behalf of vulnerable clients.
• Support, mentor and develop team members while contributing to the department’s growth and business development.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive working in Court of Protection law.
• Expertise in Court of Protection proceedings and Office of the Public Guardian investigations.
• A proactive, client-focused approach and excellent organisational skills.
• A working knowledge of legal case management systems and Microsoft Office.
