Regional Events Manager – London
Location: London (Hybrid working)
Salary: £37,000 per annum plus benefits
Reports to: Head of English Regions

Overview

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Regional Events Manager to take the lead on delivering a wide range of CPD events, training sessions, networking opportunities and member activities across London. This role is central to member engagement and volunteer support, ensuring that events are well planned, well attended, and consistently add value to the membership.

As Regional Events Manager, you’ll be the organisation’s key representative in London—driving engagement, building professional communities, and ensuring members have access to a strong and varied programme of events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a programme of CPD, training, networking and member events, both in-person and online.
  • Coordinate committees and working groups, including Young Professionals, to ensure a balanced and engaging events calendar.
  • Lead on major events such as the Awards for Excellence, presidential visits, and annual member celebrations.
  • Support and guide elected members and volunteers in shaping local activities.
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders to raise the organisation’s profile and improve event delivery.
  • Manage budgets, contracts and event logistics, ensuring events are cost-effective and run smoothly.
  • Work closely with communications teams to promote events through newsletters, social media and online platforms.

About You

  • Experience delivering membership, CPD or training events within a membership body or professional organisation.
  • Confident managing multiple events and projects at once.
  • Strong background in member engagement and volunteer coordination.
  • Able to manage budgets and stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently while being part of a collaborative team.
  • Willing to travel across the UK and attend evening events in London when required.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficient in event platforms, databases and Microsoft Office.
  • Good understanding of using digital and social channels to reach professional audiences.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of GDPR/data protection (desirable).

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working with some evening events (approx. 6–8 per year).
  • Must have a suitable home working set-up with reliable broadband.
  • Flexible and collaborative approach with a willingness to support colleagues.
