Are you a technically strong and design-focused Electrical Engineer looking for the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing consultancy where your expertise will shape high-profile projects across science, residential, commercial and public sectors.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading design work, mentoring others, and being part of a collaborative team that is committed to delivering low-carbon, intelligent building solutions.

What you will do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
  • Take ownership of the electrical design on projects from concept through to completion
  • Work across sectors including science and research, residential, commercial and education
  • Lead project coordination and engage directly with clients, architects and other design professionals
  • Develop and deliver low-energy, low-carbon electrical solutions that support sustainability goals
  • Support the growth of the team by mentoring junior engineers and contributing to internal development initiatives
  • Participate in design team meetings, technical reviews and project planning activities
What you will bring
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or actively working towards chartership
  • Between six and eight years’ experience in electrical building services design within the UK built environment
  • A strong technical understanding of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, data systems and energy-efficient technologies
  • Experience working on projects across various RIBA stages, from feasibility through to construction
  • Confident communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage design outputs and support junior team members
  • A genuine interest in innovation, digital tools and sustainable engineering
Why this role stands out

You will be joining a consultancy with a clear design philosophy, a collaborative culture, and a deep commitment to sustainable engineering. The team works closely with clients and architects to deliver buildings that are as efficient and resilient as they are elegant.

This is a chance to work in a supportive environment where your ideas will be welcomed and where you can contribute meaningfully to both projects and practice development. With recent investment in leadership, the studio is entering an exciting phase of growth, opening up new opportunities for progression and sector diversity.

What is on offer
  • Competitive salary of £55,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution
  • Optional private healthcare cover
  • Cycle to work and electric vehicle purchase schemes
  • Death in service cover
  • Payment of one professional membership
  • Hybrid working: three days in the office, two from home
  • Structured support for chartership and professional development
  • A friendly, design-led environment with a strong sense of purpose
If you are ready to step into a role where your leadership, technical insight and passion for sustainable design will be recognised and supported, we would love to hear from you.
