Print Assistant

Our client based in Corby are looking for a reliable and hardworking Print Assistant to join their team.

The role will be working within a factory environment, operating the Printing Press to produce quality products in the most efficient and safe manner. This role is an entry level position and will suit someone looking to gain experience within this sector.

Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Flexographic Printer with press setup including loading substrates, inks, and plates to achieve daily targets.
- Prepare and arrange materials required for each print job.
- Monitor the printing process and inform the Flexographic Printer of any issues or inconsistencies.
- Perform basic quality checks on printed materials (defects, alignment, colour accuracy, dimensions).
- Help clean and maintain the printing press and work areas before, during, and after runs.
- Remove printed materials and stack, sort, or package them as directed.
- Maintain inventory levels of consumables such as ink, solvent, and cleaning supplies.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Support the Flexographic Printer with changeovers and shutdowns to reduce machine downtime.
- Work with attention to detail, producing work aligned to works order and company standards.
